William Maweu
CO-FOUNDER & PRESIDENT (Kenya & US Boards)
William and his wife Maggie co-founded the Amani School and the Amani Complex International non-profit in Kenya and the USA. They are the parents of Jessica Amani and Jeff-Zion Fadhili. William has previously served as a Church Planter and a Nonprofit Director. He is now a Ph.D. student at Fuller, Pasadena, CA, focusing on International Development and At-risk Children Studies.

Magdalene Njoroge (Maggie)
CO-FOUNDER (Kenya & US Boards)
Maggie is Co-Founder and the pioneer director of Amani School in Kenya & the Amani Complex International. She graduated from Fuller’s School of Psychology in June 2023 with a Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (Emphasis in Medical Family Therapy). She is passionate about child abuse and neglect trauma.

Judith Mbeti
SECRETARY (Kenya Board)
Judith Mbeti was born and raised in South Eastern Kenya. She is a certified Elementary teacher with the Government of Kenya and a Business Administration student at St. Paul's University, Limuru, Kenya. She is passionate about justice and quality education for at-risk children. Judith serves as the Principal of the Amani School in Masii, Southeastern Kenya.

Justus K. Muema
TREASURER (Kenya Board).
Justus was born and raised in South-Eastern Kenya. He is a Certified Public Accountant and currently works as a Bank Manager at Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), Athi-River Branch.

David Mutinda
TEAM MEMBER (Kenya Board).
David Mutinda was born and raised in Masii, Southeastern Kenya. He is passionate about human flourishing and stewardship of God-given resources. David is a career auditor and data analyst. He is currently a Principal Auditor working with the Government of Kenya. David and his wife are proud parents of two amazing young children.

Joshua Joseph Niyo (Kenya & US Boards)
TEAM MEMBER
Joshua is an international lawyer from Uganda. He lives in Nairobi with his wife, Livia, and two daughters and a son. He has worked both in academia and legal practice in Africa, Europe, and North America, especially in the area of human rights. He is currently the Regional Legal Adviser at Diakonia International Humanitarian Law Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.

Josh Marmol
SECRETARY (US Board)
Josh was born and raised in LA County as the son of immigrants from El Salvador. He is interested in immigration reform. His work centers around addressing the needs and uplifting the voices of oppressed communities, specifically by coordinating committees that focus on the issues of racial justice, housing justice, sustainability/climate change, and immigration.

Anna Newby
DEPUTY SECRETARY (US Board).
Anna is a mother to two amazing children, Wyatt and Grace, and wife to her husband, Sam, of 16 years. She works as a clinical nutritionist and lives in Arkansas.

Geoff Howard
TREASURER (US Board)
Geoff currently serves on multiple non-profit boards and organizations in various finance capacities. He holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Indiana University and an MBA from USC. Geoff lives in Pasadena with his wife, Robbin, of 29 years, 2 teenage children, and 2 Golden Retrievers. Geoff enjoys running, tennis, and riding motocross.

Laura Raab (US Board)
DEPUTY TREASURER
Laura served 2 years in Japan and 6 years recruiting missionaries for Asian Access. Later she spent 8 years in Kenya under a national church and now loves sending books there. She has also served as library director for the U.S. Center for World Mission and William Carey International University.

Fred Tsai Team Member (US Board)
Fred is a technology executive and advisor currently based in Los Angeles. He has led teams and programs to drive customer retention and growth at both large-cap and growth companies in the United States and Asia. He has served a number of non-profit efforts focused on international relations. He received his MA in international relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis.
